Q is for Questioning?

When it comes to your sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, and relationship preferences are you feeling...

  • Unsure?

  • Still exploring?

  • Hesitant to embrace a particular label?

Welcome to Flower of Life Therapy!

Understanding your true self is a process that unfolds over a lifetime, and can be confusing and complicated. To add to that frustration, there are systems of oppression in place that separate us from our own bodies, and can leave us feeling disconnected from what lies within. Having labels for our identities on the LGBTQQIAAP spectrums can connect us to  community, but what happens when you are in the process of figuring that out?

I can help you explore how the intersections of society, culture, and family have impacted your connection to yourself, so that you can discover the true you- the you who has always been there, waiting to be revealed. Many people experience their identity as fluid and changing over time, but these changes can sometimes be scary to explore alone and can lead to isolation, depression and anxiety. I can help you manage these experiences so that you can connect to your true self. Connecting with your true self can lead to deeper, more intimate, more satisfying relationships with others. The world is waiting for your unique brand of rainbow!

About me

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and I studied Counseling Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) with a specialization in Somatic Psychotherapy. Much of my seven years of therapeutic experience comes from my time serving marginalized communities in various Community Mental Health settings. Adolescence is often the first time people start to explore and understand their identities, and it has been my honor to have worked with youth from diverse backgrounds to gain acceptance and understanding of who they are.

I am currently a member of the following groups:

  • CAMFT- California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists

  • SFCAMFT- San Francisco Chapter of CAMFT

  • Gaylesta- The Psychotherapist Association for Gender and Sexual Diversity

  • Bay Area Open Minds- A group of San Francisco Bay Area psychotherapists and psychotherapy students who affirm that sexual and gender diversity are natural expressions of the human experience

  • Psychedelic Support- Client-centered care from non-judgmental health professionals.

  • Health at Every Size- Health at Every Size principles help us advance social justice, create an inclusive and respectful community, and support people of all sizes in finding compassionate ways to take care of themselves.

  • Poly Friendly Professionals- A network of poly friendly professionals who welcome all folks with non-monogamous and open relationships

  • Phone Consultation (15 minutes)

  • Individual Psychotherapy

      $180 for 50 Minutes

I'm able to offer limited sliding scale spots based on need
